Review of My Darling Husband by Kimberly Belle

I received a copy of this title via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Everyone is about to know what her husband isn’t telling her…

Jade and Cam Lasky are by all accounts a happily married couple with two adorable kids, a spacious home and a rapidly growing restaurant business. But their world is tipped upside down when Jade is confronted by a masked home invader. As Cam scrambles to gather the ransom money, Jade starts to wonder if they’re as financially secure as their lifestyle suggests, and what other secrets her husband is keeping from her.

Cam may be a good father, a celebrity chef and a darling husband, but there’s another side he’s kept hidden from Jade that has put their family in danger. Unbeknownst to Cam and Jade, the home invader has been watching them and is about to turn their family secrets into a public scandal.

With riveting twists and a breakneck pace, My Darling Husband is an utterly compelling thriller that once again showcases Kimberly Belle's exceptional talent for domestic suspense.

My Review:

4 Stars

This book was a very enjoyable read. Jade is a strong character with a fierce protectiveness of her family. I could only aspire to be as brave as her if ever put into a similar situation. Which thankfully I am poor that so that very unlikely to ever happen, but hey ya never know.

Jade and Cam seem to have an idyllic life. The perfect house. Children attending private school, one that is a violin prodigy. A thriving restaurant empire, with Cam being known as the Atlanta Steak King. I know you see what's coming...but poor Jade was oblivious. Everyone except for her know that her life really wasn't she portrayed it to be.

Cam now deal with the consequences of actions that he can't or doesn't want to remember. Actions that paint the Steak King in a completely different light. A light that shows the true colors of one of the most respected members of Atlanta's society.

Riveting and heart wrenching. This book will keep you reading until the wee hours.
