Blog Tour: Gone Without A Trace by Mary Torjussen

From the imprint that published Fiona Barton’s instant New York Times bestseller The Widow and Clare Mackintosh’s global phenomenon I Let You Go, comes Mary Torjussen’s GONE WITHOUT A TRACE (Berkley Trade Paperback Original; 978-0-399-58501-2; April 18, 2017; $16.00)—an electric, compulsive thriller about a boyfriend’s unexplained disappearance, and its corrosive effects on the woman he left behind.

In GONE WITHOUT A TRACE, young professional Hannah returns from work to find her live-in boyfriend, Matt, is gone. His belongings have disappeared from their house. Every call she ever made, every text she ever sent, every photo of him and any sign of him on social media have vanished. It’s as though their last four years together never happened. As she struggles to get through the next few days, with humiliation and recriminations whirring through her head, she knows she’ll do anything to get answers. Where has he gone? Why has he left?

Hannah Monroe's boyfriend, Matt, is gone. His belongings have disappeared from their house. Every call she ever made to him, every text she ever sent, every photo of him and any sign of him on social media have vanished. It's as though their last four years together never happened.

As Hannah struggles to get through the next few days, with humiliation and recriminations whirring through her head, she knows that she'll do whatever it takes to find him again and get answers. But as soon as her search starts, she realizes she is being led into a maze of madness and obsession. Step by suspenseful step, Hannah discovers her only way out is to come face to face with the shocking truth...

Then the messages start—cryptic and creepy texts and videos—and Hannah realizes that someone is watching her every move. And there are signs that someone has been in her house.
As her search for Matt progresses, Hannah treads further into madness and obsession—and the only way out is to come to terms with the one shocking truth she just can’t accept. . .

A jaw-dropping novel of psychological suspense that asks, If the love of your life disappeared without a trace, how far would you go to find out why?

My Review:
4 Stars

This book was a complete trip. I seriously looked at my husband and was like "I don't understand. How can someone just disappear and leave it like they never existed?", to which he was unsure how to reply.

Hannah returns from a conference excited. Excited to be home and in the arms of the one she loves. However when she arrives everything is about as far from normal as it could be. The best part is she doesn't know why. Why all her boyfriend's belongings are gone, why he is nowhere to be found and why every trace of him has been wiped from her life.

Gone Without a Trace is a twisting and turning story. It will reveal secrets, lies and truths that even the person committing them doesn't realize. Follow Hannah as she untangles the invisible webs that have become her life. Definitely a story that keeps you on your toes and pushes your critical thinking to the limit.
