 My Review
5 Stars!!!

I fell in love with the characters when I met them in Covered in Coal. This book is no different.

Carly Jo found out about her daddy's secrets in the last book. These secrets haven't been easy for her to keep, especially when they keep popping up when least expected.

This time Carly Jo has her own secret. A secret that could tear the future apart for her and Colton. Lieing to herself about her feelings towards Colton make carrying her secret even harder. Fear over losing the one she loves will drive Carly Jo to dig her hole deeper before she can even think of climbing out.

We also get a better look into her sister's life in Lies Beneath the Surface. In the first book Savannah seems to be the picture of a southern bell. Wife and mother she seems to have it all, but we all wear a mask when we don't want people to see what's real.

An engaging book that will make you fall in love even more with these characters. I cannot wait for the next book in the series. Silla Webb definitely has an amazing talent.

time from her everyday life, Silla started a blog-Momma's Secret Book

read while sipping sweet tea, just passin' the day away.

Carly Jo Simon believed
that Colton Weston was her future, but he shattered her heart into tiny pieces.
Just like any little girl would, she assumed her daddy would always be by her

her with no one in her life to turn to for support.

Without options, Carly
runs away from the only home she's ever known, leaving behind her heartache and
the betrayal of the two men she loved most.

Seven years later, Carly
reluctantly returns to Kentucky. Her daddy is dying of cancer and Colton is
nothing like the boy she once loved and left. After her daddy passes, Carly
must uproot her life in South Carolina and take control of Simon Coal Company,
where she has no choice but face the pain of her past.

Can Carly keep her
secrets buried deep beneath the black Kentucky coal and her heart safe from the
fiery Colton Weston?
