My Review of Unmaking Marchant by Ella James

Marchant Radcliffe, owner of the exclusive Love Inc. brothel, is no stranger to darkness. He lost his parents in a plane crash and since college has harbored a secret almost too terrible to bear. He keeps his head above water by pouring his energy into his business—and he’s thrived, despite the dark blot on his soul.

Then, after ten years of good fortune, Marchant’s skeletons start to peek out of the closet, tossing him down a trail of ruin that begins with arson and could end with murder. Because he’s kept his struggles private, he has no one to pull him back from the brink.

After a breakup with her longtime fianc√©, Suri Dalton, daughter of one of Silicon Valley’s tech tycoons, has nowhere to go except her BFF’s new penthouse in Las Vegas. The last thing Suri is looking for is a man, but after drowning her woes in wine on the flight over, she stumbles into a torrid make out session with a beautiful stranger—who just so happens to be Marchant Radcliffe, playboy and literal pimp.

Despite an immediate attraction, Suri writes Marchant off as exactly the sort of guy she should avoid. Until Love Inc. goes up in flames, Marchant winds up at the bottom of a swimming pool, and Suri is the only one around to pull him out.

What happens when what you see isn’t what you get? What do you do when destiny is too alluring to resist and too dangerous to survive?

*This novel contains erotic scenes, mature language, and mature themes.
*Unmaking Marchant is set in the Love Inc. universe. Check out the previous two Love Inc. stories, featuring different main characters:
SELLING SCARLETT: <------- free="" nbsp="" span="">

When his lips touch mine, I can barely keep my knees from giving way.
Marchant sweeps the door open and wraps an arm around me, dragging me toward the king-sized bed. He turns me around and urges me down onto my back, with my legs hanging off the side of the mattress. He parts my knees and stands between them, leaning down over me so he can kiss my throat, my chin, my cheeks, and finally—when I can’t stand it anymore—my mouth.
His lips close over mine with a harsh groan, and I sink my hands into his wild hair and pull him down on me. His body is warm and hard. I run my fingers from his biceps down his taut sides, and they leave trails of goosebumps. He’s hard in seconds, pressing himself urgently against me.
I can feel his abs jerk as he breathes between our kisses: ragged breaths that do nothing to slow the fury of his mouth on mine.
His taste is a drug—hot and sweet and just a little salty.
With all thought stalled by the rhythm of our mouths and hands, I notice everything about the way he moves and feels. How when he breathes, his ribcage presses into mine so hard it hurts. Each and every kiss brings him down on me a little heavier. There’s something predatory about the way he grabs my shoulder, yanks my hair, nips at my neck, crawls up on the bed and tosses me back a few feet. He climbs up on top of me, and I’m reminded of a lion.
Rough becomes forceful, almost painful. My mouth feels bruised, yet when he wrenches his away to grab a breath, my hand around his neck pulls him back down for more. Another hit. A feeding frenzy.

My Review:
5 Stars
Absolutely loved the latest bood in the Love Inc. series. Ella James has a way of pulling you into the story and making you not want to let go. Unmaking Marchant is definitely going to leave you wanting more.

Unmaking Marchant focuses on Suri and Marchant, the owner of Love Inc. We finally learn the truth behind Suri and Adam's split and we get a glimpse into the life of a Brothel owner. Of course nothing is ever as it seems and there are more secrets than truths most of the time, but that doesn't sway Suri in her choice to become furhter involved with Marchant, despite her earlier outlook.

While Suri may seem less complex, Marchant has a whole lot of personal skeletons that he has to deal with. His outlook on the life he should be leading changes when Suri enters his life. Never before has he desired what others have had because he thinks himself unworthy. Suri however has brought a lite into his life that he finds himself desperate to keep, no matter what his logical side is telling him.

Nothing is ever that easy though. Through this awakward relationship threats start to appear, strange phone calls are placed, and people's lives are in danger. Marchant doesn't want to be responsible for anything happening to Suri, but he also doesn't want to let her go. Can their already fragile relationship handles the tests that are thrown their way?

A suspenseful ride that will have you on the edge until the end. Congrats on another amazing read Ella James!
